Animation: Quickly combine around and inside the penalty area
On a half field, place a cone about 40m from the goal which will serve as the ball source. Then set up 3 cones at the edge of the box, 2 on the sides, and finally one last 8m in front of the ball source (see animation). Then form groups of 5 players who will attack together.

The exercise proceeds as follows:
  1. Start with the 1st player (A) who makes a short pass to the 2nd player (B). The latter will then perform a one-two pass with A, requesting the ball in stride at the edge of the box. The action ends with a 1v1 with the goalkeeper.
  2. Without delay, A plays a combination on the side with the 3rd player (C). The latter overlaps to cross while A goes around the cone to offer a solution at the far post.
  3. Immediately after, the players reposition, and A (or B) comes to request the ball from the 4th player (D), located on the opposite side. They execute a quick sequence before offering a back pass inside the box.
  4. Once the action is completed, the players return to request the ball at the 35m mark, from the 5th player of the team (E). This is followed by a combination and a cross, with the 4 attacking players each offering a different solution.
  5. The exercise continues with the turn of the second team.

Variation: you can introduce a defender at the start of the exercise to add a bit more intensity.

For your players to benefit to the maximum from this drill, we recommend emphasizing the following points:
  1. Intensity to create real game situations.
  2. Communication to enable better dynamics.
  3. Movements to create passing angles.
